Design a Bookmark Contest | St. Louis County Library

Calling all aspiring artists and designers ages 6-17! We are seeking creative designs for this year’s STArt @ Your Library bookmark contest.

Entries accepted starting Saturday, June 1 and must be received by 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 5.

The winning bookmarks will be professionally printed and distributed at all SLCL branches in the Fall.

How to Enter

Download and print the template with entry form.
Design your bookmark and fill out the entry form.
Submit your entry form with your bookmark at any branch. Electronic entries will not be accepted.

Open to youth ages 6-17.
Entrant or parent/guardian must have a SLCL card.
Design a bookmark with an adventure theme.
Do not write your name or place any other identifying marks on the bookmark itself.
Limit one submission per person. More than one entry will disqualify all entries.
Digitally created designs will not be accepted.
Entries are judged for creativity, originality, neatness and printability.
Entries that include copyrighted text and/or images will be disqualified.

Winners will be chosen in four categories: Ages 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, and 15-17.
Winners’ bookmarks will be professionally printed and distributed at library branches in Fall, while supplies last.
Winners will be notified by Friday, August 9.
Judges’ decisions are final.
The library will not be able to return the original bookmark.
If any of these guidelines are not followed, the entry will be disqualified.
