Approved by the Library Board May 17, 1999.
The circulation of petitions will be allowed on library property, but not in the
library buildings. The petitions must not be circulated within 25 feet of the
entrance. The entrance is defined as the outer edge of the canopy over the door,
or the foot of the steps or ramp leading to the door, whichever is farther.
This is comparable to the Missouri Statutes which prohibit electioneering within
25 feet of polling place entrances. (RSMo § 115.637(18))
