Centralized Services

blue arrow  Audio Visual
The Audio Visual Collection contains materials in a variety of formats including audiobooks on CD, music CDs, and DVDs, including over 50 titles with public performance rights. In addition, the library offers eMedia in the form of eBooks, eAudiobooks, and downloadable videos.

blue arrow  Genealogy / Special Collections
The Special Collections Department is the centralized research center for genealogical materials. Special Collections contains library holdings of the
St. Louis Genealogical Society, National Genealogical Society and local history materials belonging to the Library. Staff members are trained to assist with a variety of questions that arise in genealogical research.

The Reference Department is the centralized research center for the library system. The department supports the Government Documents collection and has been an authorized Federal Depository since 1970. Reference staff are available to answer questions in person, via the phone, through online chat, and email. Book a Librarian allows those whose questions require in-depth research to consult one-on-one with a professional librarian for up to 30 minutes.

Public Meeting Rooms
Two rooms are available for non-profit groups. A $10.00 fee is charged for each meeting. For further details, read St. Louis County Library's Meeting Room Policy and download an application. To reserve a room, please call 314/994-3300.
