Originally at 22nd and Franklin, moved to 23rd and Washington in 1874 and then to Redbud and Rosalie in 1915. The church combined with Peace United Christian Church ca. 1971 and relocated to Bellefontaine Road and then was renamed Bethany-Peace United Church of Christ.

In 1870 Bethany Evangelical Church purchased land at St. Charles Rock Road and Lucas and Hunt Road for use as a cemetery. This cemetery is still extant.
