Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church 1838– 2840 N. Ballas Road Des Peres, Missouri 63131 St. Louis County The mother-church of six county congregations. Located near Manchester and Clayton Roads. In 1846–47 the congregation split, with the Lutheran St. Paul Congregation of Des Peres remaining. The new congregation was named German Evangelical Congregation Church in 1850. In the early 1860’s, it again relocated, this time on Ballas Road itself, and was renamed Zion. It remained at this Ballas Road location and in 1958 the congregation was renamed, this time as Parkway United Church of Christ. Text in German and English.
