The index to the
volumes listed below was created by staff and volunteers in Special
Collections at St. Louis County Library, abstracting the names from
Dr. Marxkors' emigrant volumes, with his permission. The text to his volumes
is in German with some English, but for translation, see the coding
sheet (How to read the data). The amount of information on each
emigrant varies, but may contain place and date of birth, names of
parents, name of spouse and date of marriage, etc., . . . The volumes do
include a limited number of tables and maps.
