Zion Lutheran Church 1860- 2500 North 21^st Street St. Louis, Missouri 63106 First located at 1426 Warren Street (at Blair), Zion then moved to its present location in 1895. "The congregation started in 1858 as a school of Immanuel Lutheran. . . in a densely populated area of north St. Louis. Within two years this school evolved into the fourth offshoot of Trinity Lutheran. . . , the mother church in Soulard." -St. Louis, Historic Churches and Synagogues, p. 31 Four district churches existed in the "Generalgemeinde": Trinity, Holy Cross, Immanuel and Zion.
