Maps for World War I Draft Board Boundaries Kansas City, Missouri: Map #1

Map of Kansas City, Mo., World War I Draft Boards

To see an enlarged map of one of the individual draft boards shown on this map, click on the draft board number (white number on black background) or click on the draft board number and address below.

The original copy of this map is a finding aid for Record Group 163,  Records of the Selective Service System (World War I), at National Archives, Southeast Region, Atlanta, Ga. The printed title on the map reads "Board of Election Commissioners, Kansas City, MO. Jan 3, 1950, Revised" so it appears to be a map marked decades after World War I.

Two sets of numbers appear on this map; the numbers that are white on a black background mark the 16 World War I draft boards. To see an enlarged map of a specific draft board, click on the desired draft board listing below.

Be sure to review the suggested search strategy to determine which draft board(s) to search. While it is not always possible to precisely determine a draft board, this map can help narrow the possibilities.

The two World War I draft board maps for Kansas City, Mo. are also available on Family History Library film #1498803, "List of World War One Draft Board Maps." The contents note for that film does NOT list maps for Kansas City, Mo., but the maps are located on the film immediately following those for Kansas City, Kans.
