Branch History

The Samuel C. Sachs Branch located in Chesterfield, Missouri, on a 3-acre site donated by Louis Sachs of Sachs Properties, Inc. The building is named in honor of the father of Louis Sachs, CEO of Sachs Properties, Inc. Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, are architects for the building which was funded from the 1973 building tax levy. The Sachs Branch is the last of twelve branches built from the building tax. The general contractor for the construction of the building was McGrath & Associates.
