The St. Louis County Library will offer a program about the ancient history of Chesterfield at the Daniel Boone Branch, 300 Clarkson Rd., Ellisville, MO 63011, on Wednesday, November 7 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Michael Fuller, professor of archeology at St. Louis Community College, will be the presenter. The program is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
Among the topics of discussion will be the ancient civilizations that lived in the Chesterfield area and what archeological remnants still exist. Dr. Fuller is well qualified in this subject, having earned his Master's and Ph.D. in archeology from Washington University. He has led archeological digs throughout the world, specializing in Near Eastern Archeology (Egypt, Jordan and Syria.) He is a member of the Archeological Institute of America and has been awarded a Fulbright Travel Grant, among his distinctions.
