National Novel Writing Month at SLCL

Celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November at St. Louis County Library. All across the country avid readers and writers are taking the challenge to write a novel in one month. Everyone has a story! What's yours?

The library will support participants with writing workshops, a marathon writing celebration, and write-ins. All programs are free and open to the public. An online listing of events is available at www.slcl.org/NaNoWriMo or call 314-994-3300 for more information. Program dates and times follow.

Writing Workshops: Directed by NaNoWriMo liaisons, the workshops are offered in October to prepare for the real deal in November. A combination presentation about writing tips and question-and-answer session, this workshop provides advice on how to manage your writing time and maximize your progress.

Evening of Scribing Recklessly: Celebrate the half-way point with other NaNoWriMo writers. During this 6-hour writing marathon, NaNoWriMo liaisons will challenge you with writing sprints and word games and offer inspiration in the form of coffee and treats.
