Pulitzer Prizes

The 2013 Pulitzer Prizes were announced April 15. The winners include:

FICTION - "The Orphan Master's Son" by Adam Johnson
Set in modern-day North Korea, this novel traces the journey of Pak Jun Do from a work camp for orphans through the military ranks to the level of Kim Jong Il himself.
The adventure tales of Alexandre Dumas were largely inspired by the author's own father, the subject of this engaging biography.
Logevall draws connections between the American and French involvement in Vietnam in the four decades leading up to the Vietnam War.
Before becoming a Supreme Court justice, young Thurgood Marshall defended falsely accused men in Florida in 1949.
POETRY - "Stag's Leap" by Sharon Olds
In her tenth published volume of poetry, Olds chronicles the end of her 30-year marriage.
