Branch History

The Samuel C. Sachs Branch opened to the public on November 11, 2002. The branch is located in Chesterfield, Missouri, on a three-acre site donated by Louis Sachs, late CEO of Sachs Properties, Inc., in honor of his father, Samuel Sachs. The branch includes the Nancy Greenwood Teen center, named after former Chesterfield mayor, which opened in 2011, and the Jai Nagarkatti Monsanto Company Reading Garden, which opened in 2015. The branch underwent extensive renovations in 2016 as part of the Your Library Renewed campaign.
