SLCL Foundation Presents Acclaimed Suspense Author Sophie Hannah

Date:
Mon, 06/25/2012 (All day)

The St. Louis County Library Foundation and Pudd'nHead Books are pleased to present acclaimed crime fiction author Sophie Hannah for a discussion and signing of her latest thriller "The Other Woman's House" on Monday, July 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Pudd'nHead Books.

Featuring the return of detectives Charlie Zailer and Simon Waterhouse, Sophie Hannah's latest novel offers the spine-tingling thrills her ever-increasing fan base adores.

It's past midnight, but Connie Bowskill can't sleep. To pass the time, she logs on to a real estate website in search of a particular house, one she is obsessed with for reasons she's too scared to even admit to herself. As she clicks through the virtual tour, she comes across a scene from a nightmare: a woman lying face down on the living room floor in a pool of blood. But when she returns to show her husband, there is no body, no blood--just a perfectly ordinary room. With plot twists that will keep readers up all night, "The Other Woman's House" is another unforgettable story by a new master of the crime novel.

A bestselling crime fiction writer and poet, Sophie Hannah's psychological thrillers

"Little Face," "The Truth-Teller's Lie," "The Wrong Mother," and "The Dead Lie Down" have sold over 500,000 copies and are international bestsellers nominated for numerous awards in England and the United States. She lives in Cambridge, England with her husband and two children.

Program sites are accessible. Upon two weeks notice, accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities. Contact St. Louis County Library by phone 314-994-3300 or visit www.slcl.org.
