The St. Louis County Library Foundation is pleased to present author and Pelopidas CEO Travis H. Brown for a discussion and signing of his book "How Money Walks: How $2 Trillion Moved Between the States" on Friday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
Between 1995 and 2010, millions of Americans moved between the states, taking with them over $2 trillion in adjusted gross income. Why did Americans move so much of their income from state to state? Which states benefitted and which states suffered? "How Money Walks" maps this great migration of American income and raises important questions about American tax policy and how it profoundly affects growth and development in our country.
Travis H. Brown has two decades of state and local lobbying experience and has worked in one-third of the 50 states. After a diverse career in corporate sales, marketing, and government affairs, Brown co-founded Pelopidas LLC, a St. Louis-based public affairs and advocacy firm. He is a contributor to Forbes.com and a blogger at YourTaxCode.com.
Program sites are accessible. Upon two weeks notice, accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities. Contact St. Louis County Library by phone 314-994-3300 or visit www.slcl.org.
