St. Louis County Library is sponsoring a video contest in honor of Teen Read Week, October 13-19. Entries will be accepted from September 27-October 13 from teens in grades 6-12. Teens may enter separately or in groups of no more than three people. Videos must be no less than 30 seconds and no more than 3 minutes in length. The theme for the video contest is "Seek the Unknown @ your library."
The Grand prize winner(s) will receive a $100 Visa gift card. The honorable mention winner(s) will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Winners will be announced on the library's website (www.slcl.org) during Teen Read Week. Judges' decisions are final.

Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA.) It began in 1998 and is held annually during the third week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users.
