Ways to Give:
Sponsor a Major Author Series or Event
Sponsors receive reserve seat tickets, recognition on print materials, and opportunities to distribute information/coupons on products and services at all events.
Host or Sponsor a Private Author Reception
Many of the major authors, historians and celebrities speaking at the Library participate in private receptions to benefit the Foundation. They are typically held at Plaza Frontenac or nearby restaurants. These are intimate settings for a business and their clients to socialize with the author, have books autographed and photos taken.
Adopt a Children’s Reading Area or Teen Center
Castle Readalot in the children’s book area of Headquarters was unveiled in 2006. The Library Foundation offers donors the chance to adopt and help design a literary theme for the children’s reading areas as well as the teen centers in the 19 other branches.
Sponsor Summer Reading Club or Other Programs
Programs such as the Library’s Summer Reading Club are great ways to support the work of the Library Foundation. Summer Reading Club annually registers nearly 20,000 students, and the Adult Reading Club attracts more than 6,000 participants. Preschool literacy programs and free computer classes offer additional ways to support the Library through the Foundation.
Tributes
Gifts in Memory or in Honor may be the perfect way to recognize or remember someone special to you.
