Lockers
Researchers are encouraged to store personal items in the lockers provided on Tier 4 of the Headquarters building. Lockers require a quarter, which is refunded after use. Locker dimensions are 16.5” tall x 12” wide x 16.5” deep.
Things you should bring with you
- Money for making copies and printouts (a coin changer is available in the department)
- A valid St. Louis County Library card, driver’s license or other official ID to use the public computers
- Writing paper, pens or pencils, and personal notes
Items not allowed in the Special Collections Department
- Purses, briefcases and suitcases
- Bags of any kind, including book bags, grocery bags and shopping bags
- Laptop computer cases
- Accordion files
- Books, either personal or from another library department
Items allowed in the Special Collections Department
- Writing paper
- Pencil or pen
- Personal notes
- Laptop computer (cases cannot be brought into the department)
- Small wallet or fanny pack
- Three-ring binders
Inspection notice
The library staff reserves the right to inspect all items before a visitor enters or leaves the Special Collections Department.
