Bi-Folkal kits are multimedia programming kits designed to encourage reminiscing. Although these kits are geared toward older adults, many kits are historical in nature and are good for intergenerational or school use. Each kit centers on a theme and contains a program manual, DVD or video presentation, sing-along music and much more. The library has 24 kits on a variety of topics.

St. Louis County Library provides delivery to over 120 licensed daycare centers and Head Start programs each month. The Preschool Outreach Program (POP) delivers specially designed early childhood literacy kits to each of the facilities visited. Each kit contain 10 or 15 books, and a music CD. Centers may request one kit for each of the classrooms in the facility and keep them for four weeks. At the start of each school semester teachers and center directors may request specific theme kits. Those who do not request a particular theme will receive a variety of topics throughout the year. You may request a visit from the POP van by calling 314-994-3300 ext. 2333, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by completing this form.
