"POP into Reading"
Your child can now benefit from a unique service from your St. Louis County Library! POP is the Library's Preschool Outreach Program. On a regular schedule, childcare centers and preschools can receive deliveries of books and other materials for your child's use in the classroom. Bags of fifteen preschool books, based on one central theme or POP Shuffle, are delivered to licensed childcare centers and preschools every three weeks. A bag will include books, a DVD, a CD, and activity sheets. Teachers can use these items in presenting story times and other learning experiences for the youngsters in their care.
Story time bags are available on more than 45 topics to make your child's learning experience the best it can be! A small sample of topics includes:
| School | Community Helpers | Farming |
| Rhymes and Poems | Concept: Math | Feelings |
| Spring | Customs and Culture | Food |
| Bugs, Insects | Dinosaurs | Garden |
| Christmas | Easter | Weather |
Since many centers have infant, toddlers, and preschool age children, we offer board books in Infant and Toddlers Kits and preschool books in Preschool kits.
