How It Works:

1. Sign up for the teen summer reading club starting May 12 at your local branch.

2. Keep track of your reading online or pick up a log sheet at any SLCL location. Books, magazines, graphic novels and audiobooks all count!

3. When you complete a level, visit a branch to collect your reward. 

The summer reading club ends Saturday, August 2. Prizes must be redeemed by Saturday, August 9.

Sachs Branch

At our Glow in the Dark Party lights go out in the library as scary tales are told, glow in the dark games are played, and some ghoulishly glowing food is served.
Ages 12-18. Registration required.

Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 3:00pm
Eureka Hills Branch

Come to our island celebration where we will limbo, eat Hawaiian pizza and make our own leis. Grades 6-12. Registration required.

Monday, October 26, 2015 - 7:00pm
Sachs Branch

Join us to knit, crochet or work on other fiber arts. Bring in a project you have already begun, start a new one, or share ideas and techniques with experienced knitters. Library staff members can provide assistance to beginners. Please bring your supplies.

Enjoy the company of fellow needle workers and bring any handwork you enjoy doing. Lessons given for those who want to learn how to knit and crochet. All Ages. Registration requested.

Get your game on! This monthly program features video games for Wii and XBOX 360 consoles as well as classic board games. All skill levels welcome. Ages 10-18.

Need some help to tackle your homework? Library staff and trained teen volunteers work with students in 4th-12th grade on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays. We offer two sessions a night, sign up for one. While general tutoring is not a part of the program, students will apply strategies they learn to their own homework assignments during these sessions.
Registration opens one week before the date of the programs.
