How It Works:

1. Sign up for the teen summer reading club starting May 12 at your local branch.

2. Keep track of your reading online or pick up a log sheet at any SLCL location. Books, magazines, graphic novels and audiobooks all count!

3. When you complete a level, visit a branch to collect your reward. 

The summer reading club ends Saturday, August 2. Prizes must be redeemed by Saturday, August 9.

Daniel Boone Branch

After being sold to a cruel couple in New York City, a thirteen-year-old slave named Isabel spies for the rebels during the Revolutionary War. Read the book then join us for a discussion, a snack, and a fun activity.
Ages 11-14. Registration required.

Friday, February 27, 2015 - 6:30pm
Sachs Branch

Spend a fun evening devoted to everyone's favorite- chocolate. The fun includes chocolate games, trivia, tasting, and of course, a chocolate fountain.

Chess is one of the oldest and most complex games of all time. It's a fascinating game of reason and logic, where you win by out-thinking, out-planning, and out-smarting your opponent. Bring your chess board and enjoy playing chess with others at the Thornhill Branch. The chess club will meet the second and fourth Saturday of every month. Ages 8-Adult.
