How It Works:

1. Sign up for the teen summer reading club starting May 12 at your local branch.

2. Keep track of your reading online or pick up a log sheet at any SLCL location. Books, magazines, graphic novels and audiobooks all count!

3. When you complete a level, visit a branch to collect your reward. 

The summer reading club ends Saturday, August 2. Prizes must be redeemed by Saturday, August 9.

Attend this free six-week workshop to learn computer skills like word processing, internet safety and basic programming using Scratch software. The courses are designed for 4th-8th grade students. In order to complete the course and earn a free computer, KIDS MUST ATTEND EVERY CLASS. Upon graduation students will receive a computer, monitor and peripherals (Keyboard, mouse), audio speakers and a 4GB flash drive.

Presented by St. Louis Byte Works. Registration is required by calling 314-994-3300. You MUST call this number and speak to Customer Connect. Registration at the library is NOT allowed. Limited to 12 students (only one person per household may participate).

Do you love the library? Join our Teen Advisory Group (TAG) and help us improve our library services to teens. At TAG you will weigh in on library programs and services, earn volunteer hours, make new friends and build your leadership skills. Come join us on the 4th Thursday of every month for a lot of fun! Now that you have seen the play, you can write your own. After viewing a 50-minute performance of "Antony and Cleopatra" designed for young audiences, our teaching actors will help you build your literacy skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will use the themes from "Antony and Cleopatra" to create a mini-play in your own words during the four session workshop. Ages 11-14. Registration required. Must sign up for all four sessions.
