How It Works:

1. Sign up for the teen summer reading club starting May 12 at your local branch.

2. Keep track of your reading online or pick up a log sheet at any SLCL location. Books, magazines, graphic novels and audiobooks all count!

3. When you complete a level, visit a branch to collect your reward. 

The summer reading club ends Saturday, August 2. Prizes must be redeemed by Saturday, August 9.

Do you want to be more involved with the library? Join TAB and have a say in programs and event planning and meet new friends. You can earn volunteer hours and have lots of snacks! We meet on the second Wednesday of every other month at 4:30 p.m. Grades 6-12. Registration is required. Room 2.

Calling all teenage writers! Join us for a peer-led writing club where you can develop your work and receive feedback from like-minded teens. Improve your own writing by analyzing the work of your favorite authors and poets and learn from their techniques. Snacks provided. Ages 14-18.

Take an ACT practice test administered by an official proctor. Students must bring two #2 pencils and a calculator. Test will take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. Results will be emailed to students. Grades 9-12. Registration required.

Tesson Ferry Branch

Come and practice your writing and drawing skills and talk with other comic artists including a group of experienced creators. Ages 12-18. Computer Lab. Registration required.

Chess is one of the oldest and most complex games of all time. It's a fascinating game of reason and logic, where you win by out-thinking, out-planning, and out-smarting your opponent. Bring your chess board and enjoy playing chess with others at the Thornhill Branch. The chess club will meet the second and fourth Saturday of every month. Ages 8-Adult.
