How It Works:

1. Sign up for the teen summer reading club starting May 12 at your local branch.

2. Keep track of your reading online or pick up a log sheet at any SLCL location. Books, magazines, graphic novels and audiobooks all count!

3. When you complete a level, visit a branch to collect your reward. 

The summer reading club ends Saturday, August 2. Prizes must be redeemed by Saturday, August 9.

Learn about the wholesome and tasty possibilities of meatless food preparation! Each meeting will feature a potluck and discussion on dietary choices and food options. The club meets every fourth Thursday of the month. Ages 12-Adult.

Ten-year-old Auggie Pullman, who was born with extreme facial abnormalities, goes from being home-schooled to entering fifth grade at a private middle school in Manhattan. Follow him as he struggles to be seen as just another student. Read the book then join us for a discussion, a snack, and a fun activity.

Bring your chessboard and enjoy playing chess with others at the Thornhill Branch. The chess club will meet the second and fourth Saturday of every month. Ages 8-Adult.

Join us to knit, crochet or work on other fiber arts. Bring in a project you have already begun, start a new one, or share ideas and techniques with experienced knitters. Library staff members can provide assistance for beginners. Please bring your needles and yarn.
