What Is Outreach?

Outreach at St. Louis County Library brings the library to you. Services are provided to patrons of all ages who, for whatever reason, experience difficulty visiting a library branch. Our goal is to connect you with the rich resources the library has to offer.

How Can It Help Me?

The Outreach Department of the St. Louis County Library provides service in a variety of ways.

  • Preschool children receive books and music delivered right to the door of their childcare center.
  • School children have the opportunity to visit the library remotely on one of three school bookmobiles.
  • Senior citizens receive library materials during regularly scheduled visits of the vans and bookmobile dedicated to serving them.
  • Individuals who are homebound or caring for a homebound person receive library materials using U.S. mail.

If you would like to request service from the Outreach Department, please call us at 314-994-3300 or email outreach@slcl.org.
