Samuel C. Sachs Branch

The Samuel C. Sachs Branch will close for construction on January 31, 2026. Patron holds will be sent to the Thornhill Branch during construction. The new branch will open in early 2027.

The new Sachs Branch is approximately 5,000 square feet larger than the current branch, with a footprint of 20,700 square feet. The building is moving to the northwest edge of the property, where it will connect with an existing reading garden. Preliminary plans include a coffee shop, a dynamic children’s space, a teen area, a larger community meeting room, 8 study rooms, an outdoor patio and enhanced reading garden. Other key features include abundant natural light, comfortable seating, collaborative work spaces, and a large collection of books for all ages.
