Several visual assistive devices for members of our community that are blind or have low vision are available for checkout.

Specialized Items

Specialized items have eligibility requirements, starting with an application process and a randomized lottery drawing. The lottery will open March 3-23, 2025. Applicants selected through the lottery will receive one item for a three-month checkout period. Applicants who are not chosen in the initial lottery will be placed on a waiting list for selected item(s) and notified when the item becomes available.

Visual Accessibility Kits

The Visual Accessibility Kit for low vision individuals will be available for a regular 21-day checkout to anyone with an SLCL card (no eligibility requirements).
