Several visual assistive devices for members of our community that are blind or have low vision are available for checkout.
Items provided by The Winnefred A. Lesandrini Trust.
Specialized Items
Specialized items have eligibility requirements, starting with an application process and a randomized lottery drawing. The lottery will open March 3-23, 2025. Applicants selected through the lottery will receive one item for a three-month checkout period. Applicants who are not chosen in the initial lottery will be placed on a waiting list for selected item(s) and notified when the item becomes available.
In-Library Use Tools
Borrow an Optelec PowerMag, 3.5, high quality magnifying glass, for in-library use when visiting any branch. Simply bring your library card to the circulation desk and ask a staff person for assistance.
