County Library and APA Offer Animal Programs for Kids

St. Louis County Library and the Animal Protective Association of Missouri (APA) are teaming up to provide animal care and safety programs for kids and teens at several SLCL branches this fall. All programs are free and open to the public. A full schedule follows.

Kind Kids Story Time
Join us for a special story time that emphasizes the importance of being kind to all animals.  Meet a live dog and practice being kind. Ages 4-6.

Animal Safety
Learn the proper way to greet dogs and cats and avoid bites and scratches. Meet a live dog and practice greeting it. Ages 4-14.

Litter Patrol
Not all animals are fortunate enough to find forever homes. In this program, kids will learn the importance of responsible pet ownership and do a mock spay surgery on a toy dog. Ages 6-16. Space is limited. Registration required. To register, please call 314 994-3300.
