St. Louis County Library will expand its eMedia offerings by introducing digital magazines starting in June. The service will be provided by Zinio, which offers over 130 popular magazine titles including National Geographic, Us Weekly, Newsweek and Cosmopolitan. Customers can download the magazines to most tablet readers, computers and smartphones. The downloadable magazines will contain the same content as the print version.
Customers must have a valid St. Louis County Library card and live within the St. Louis metropolitan area to take advantage of the new downloadable magazines. Those wishing to use Zinio will first create an SLCL Zinio account using their library card number. An additional Zinio account will also be required. Full instructions will be posted on the library’s eMedia webpage: www.slcl.org/emedia
Some Zinio features include:
Unlimited downloads of current issues
Multiple simultaneous users means no waiting
No need to return the eMagazine and so no late fees.
Those who need help learning to use Zinio with their device can rely on the St. Louis County Library’s staff for assistance.
Downloading magazines is just the newest electronic service from St. Louis County Library. The library also offers eBooks, eVideos, eAudiobooks and Tumblebooks. Visit www.slcl.org/emedia to see all of SLCL’s eMedia offerings.
