Curbside Service:

Curbside service allows for contact-free pick-up of holds. Simply place holds on books, DVDs or any other library material by searching the catalog. Once your holds are ready, you’ll receive an email notification with instructions for picking up the holds at your chosen branch.

Picking Up Your Holds

  • Arrive at the branch and park in the designated Curbside spot.
  • Call 314-994-3300 and follow the phone menu path for Curbside.
  • Library staff will ask you a few simple questions, prepare your items, and bring them to your car and place them in your trunk.
Branch History:

St. Louis County Library Headquarters houses the largest collection of library material in the District. The History & Genealogy Department is located here, as well as a full service Reference Department. The award-winning author series takes place in this building, as well as special events, including the Library Foundation’s annual Starcatchers’ Gala.

Headquarters is also the work place for the Library District’s administration, support staff, bookmobiles and maintenance workers. Originally opened in 1959, the Headquarters building has not been significantly remodeled since 1990.  Replacing Headquarters will be the final project undertaken in the Your Library Renewed campaign.
