Gale Courses

Gale Courses offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor led courses that you can take entirely online.   As a library card holder in good standing, you are entitled to these courses at no cost. Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin every month.

The Gale Directory Library (GDL) is a digital platform that lets users access directories – that is, extensive listings of companies, organizations, publications, people, products, and more. With GDL, users can cross-search multiple directory products or search a single title. 

Gale Legal Forms

Provides access to thousands of State and Federal legal forms covering legal area like landlord-tenant relations, divorce agreements, business relationships and end-of-life issues. These forms are provided for informational purposes and are not intended to take the place of an attorney’s legal advice.

Mergent Archives

Mergent Archives is an online database featuring a vast, indexed collection of corporate and industry related documents. The database contains hundreds of thousands of reports covering over 100 countries and industries.

Mergent Intellect

Mergent Intellect features a deep collection of worldwide business information including  private and public U.S and international business data, industry news, facts and figures, executive contact information, the ability to access industry profiles and much more.

Optimal Resume

Create, present, manage, and share your career resources from one location. Includes tools for resumes, cover letters, video resumes, interview preparation, and job searching.

Universal Class

Universal Class offers patrons a unique online education experience with a growing catalog of over 500 courses. It includes real instructors guiding the learning, engaging video-based lessons, Certificates of Achievement, and Continuing Education Units (available for selected courses).

Value Line Online

Investment Newsletter that profiles companies activity traded on the NYSE, AMEX, and NADAQ stock exchanges and speculates on their future performance. Individual company profiles are updated every 13 weeks. Available at all St. Louis County Library branches.


A searchable database of thousands of grants and scholarship opportunities offered by private and government institutions located in the US and abroad.
