Book Connections

Book Connections strives to joyfully enrich everyone's experience reading children's and young adult books. It empowers all readers to find great books to read, connect deeply with books and gain insights from authors and illustrators, engage with a diverse collection from other cultures and perspectives, and cultivate a lifelong love of reading. Educators and students can find homework help, homeschool support, lesson plans, discussion guides, and more.

Core Collections (H.W. Wilson)

Includes Children's Core Collection, Graphic Novels Core Collection, Middle and Junior High Core Collection, Fiction Core Collection, Public Library Core Collection: Nonfiction, and Senior High Core Collection; created with the input of librarians, each catalog is a guide to thousands of books, plus review sources and other professional aids for librarians and school media specialists.

Dorothy

Named for prominent Dorothys, this database collects production details for films and television programs mainly produced since 2010. Projects directed or created by women and key topics in gender and women's studies are central to this expanding resource curated for diversity. Updated regularly, Dorothy incorporates comprehensive options for researching documentaries, dramas and comedies, television shows, and educational films.

Gale Literature

Searches across Literature Resource Center and Literature Criticism Online to find full text of literary works, journal articles, literature criticism, reviews, biographical information and overviews.

Sylvia

Inspired by Sylvia Plath's tenacity and curiosity, this growing resource of hand-selected entries identifies recent books for researchers, scholarly editions, selected memoirs, and notable works for a general audience. Records include citations that can be copied and inclusive subject categories linked to related material.

TeachingBooks

TeachingBooks is an easy-to-use resource that offers thousands of multimedia resources you can use to explore children's and young adult books and their authors. Easily find resources by grade, curricular area, genre, and cultural experience. Readers can find books they might like, build reading lists,and look for homework help.  Educators can find teaching ideas, lesson plans, text complexity, book readings, activities, author interviews and insights, and more.
