The St. Louis County Library Foundation and Left Bank Books are pleased to present acclaimed crime fiction author J.A. Jance for a discussion and signing of her latest thriller “Moving Target” on Thursday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Left Bank Books.
The event is co-sponsored by Maryville University.
New York Times bestselling suspense author J.A. Jance presents a new edge-of-your-seat thriller starring her most popular character, crime reporter Ali Reynolds.
Lance Tucker, an incarcerated juvenile offender doing time for expertly hacking into the San Leandro School District’s computer system, is set on fire and severely burned one night while hanging Christmas decorations in a lockup rec room. The police say that he did it to himself, but B. Simpson, Ali Reynolds’s fiancé and the man who helped put Lance in jail, feels obligated to get to the bottom of what really happened.
Lance is famous in the hacker world for developing GHOST, computer software that allows users to surf any part of the web completely undetected. And that kind of digital camouflage is seductive to criminal minds who will stop at nothing to get their hands on this revolutionary—and dangerous—technology.
From the author hailed for her “inimitable, take-no-prisoners style” (Kirkus Reviews), “Moving Target” sends Ali on a transatlantic adventure and straight into the path of a ruthless killer.
J.A. Jance is the New York Times bestselling author of the Ali Reynolds series, the J.P. Beaumont series, the Joanna Brady series, and four interrelated Southwestern thrillers featuring the Walker family.
Program sites are accessible. Upon two weeks notice, accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities. Contact St. Louis County Library by phone 314-994-3300 or visit www.slcl.org.
