YA Fantasy Author James Kennedy Visits Two SLCL Branches

Young adult fantasy author James Kennedy will lead two programs for teens at St. Louis County Library on June 8. The programs are free, but registration is required by calling 314-994-3300 or online at Both events are in conjunction with the library’s Teen Summer Reading Club, which kicks-off June 1. Real Japan for Anime Fans

James Kennedy, author of “The Order of Odd-fish," shows you the real-world inspiration behind the fascinating worlds you see in anime. Take a tour of Japan and even learn a little Japanese without leaving the library. Ages 8-18.
Teens After Hours: James Kennedy and his Dome of Doom!

Meet “Order of Oddfish” author James Kennedy and then prepare yourself for the “Dome of Doom.” You’ll invent mythological monster-gods from his book, dress up as those monster-gods (costumes provided), learn how to write insults in the classical Eldritch City style, and perform them against friends in fighting-dancing duels with insane battle music.
