Megan Abbott
From the bestselling author of “The Turnout” comes a simmering novel of friendship and betrayal, following a women-led pyramid scheme. The three Bishop sisters grew up in the moneyed suburbs of Detroit. But as the auto industry declined, so did their fortunes. The Wheel offers women like themselves a way to make their own money, independent of husbands or families. Quickly, however, the Wheel’s success, and their own addiction to it, leads to greater and greater risks—and a crime so shocking it threatens to bring everything down with it.

J. Courtney Sullivan
A Reese’s Book Club Pick, bestselling novelist J. Courtney Sullivan presents a story of family, secrets and ghosts set on the seaside cliffs of Maine. As a teenager, the abandoned Victorian house on a secluded bluff served as a mystery and sanctuary for Jane. Twenty years later, now a Harvard archivist, Jane is hired to research the history of the place for the new owner who believes the house is haunted. The story Jane uncovers—of lovers lost at sea, romantic longing, shattering loss, artistic awakening, and the long shadow of colonialism—is even older than Maine itself.

Since then, the self-professed “Black girl from the south side of Chicago” has been shattering ceilings and making history.
