Summer Lunches

12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Operation Food Search will provide free lunches to children at select SLCL locations this summer, Monday-Friday. Stop by and enjoy a nutritious lunch along with some activities for kids. Pizza will be provided on Fridays. Meals will be available free of charge for children ages 0-18.

Groups, please contact hosting branch at least 24 hours prior to attending so that the proper amount of meals may be ordered.

Mars Rover Challenge

Create a Sphero-powered rover and navigate a Mars obstacle course.

Get your game on! This monthly program features games for the PlayStation 4 and Wii U consoles. All skill levels welcome. Ages 12-18.

Coding 101: Art

6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This free eight-week workshop teaches basic programming using Scratch software and Google CS First. Upon graduation students will receive a Chromebook and a t-shirt. In order to be eligible to earn a free computer, participants must attend every class. Ages 10-14. Participants will be chosen by lottery. Fill out the form at www.slcl.org/teens. Entries accepted Monday, May 6 - Wednesday, May 22. Presented by GlobalHack.

Learn about foods from all over the globe, find vintage recipes in newspaper databases, and practice your culinary skills using free video courses. The library’s collection of resources will help you become a master chef in no time.
