Mind Your Business: Database Boot Camp

This hands-on session will empower aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners with the tools needed to write a small business plan, target their market, create mailing lists, find competitors, discover potential customers, research an industry and best locate a business.

To get the most out of this class, registrants should be proficient in computer and website usage.

Lender Match for Start-Up Businesses

The U.S. Small Business Administration will host a free workshop for start-up businesses on how to fund your business with an SBA-guaranteed loan using SBA's Lender Match. Lender Match is a free online referral tool that connects small businesses with participating SBA-approved lenders.

We will start with a training session followed by a panel of lenders and SBA resource partners. You will learn how Lender Match works, the importance of a business plan and best practices when applying for a business loan.

Health Coverage for Immigrant Entrepreneurs

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Immigrants are more likely to be entrepreneurs than native born Americans, but they are also more likely to be uninsured. Many immigrant entrepreneurs have difficulty getting affordable health coverage due to language barriers and challenges with income verification. In this presentation we will go over the different health coverage programs available, their eligibility guidelines and how to apply, followed by brief one-on-one screenings with an application counselor. Light refreshments. Registration appreciated but not required.
