AARP Tax-Aide

AARP Tax-Aide volunteers prepare free tax returns for individuals with low to moderate income, with an emphasis on seniors. Appointments are required. Call Customer Connect at 314-994-3300 beginning January 14, 2019 to make an appointment.Adults.

CORP Tax Assistance

The St. Louis County Older Resident Program (CORP) provides free assistance in preparation of income tax forms and property tax credit claims for St. Louis County residents, age 60+ and income of less than $54,000. Appointments required. Call 314-615-4037 beginning January 22, 2019 to schedule an appointment.

HiSET Classes

Prepare to take the HiSET, the new High School Equivalency Test. Interested students first must attend four days of orientation. Please see library staff for orientation dates. For more information, call 314-367-5000.

Explore basic formulas and functions in a spreadsheet using Microsoft Office Excel 2016. Printing options will also be covered. Registration required.Prerequisites: Excel I or equivalent experience. All classes are free. After five minutes, unclaimed seats will become available to students on the waiting list.

Create and edit spreadsheets using Google Sheets, a feature of Google Drive. Basic formulas and functions will also be covered. Registration required.

An 8 week workshop where writers and aspiring writers examine basic principles of good writing and share and critique personal work. Essays, short stories, memoirs, novel chapters--all are welcome. Adults. Registration required.

Bring your mobile device or laptop and learn to find free movies using Kanopy through St. Louis County Library. Kanopy includes documentaries, indie and classic films, world cinema and more. Bring your library card number and PIN. Other account information including email and passwords may be needed.
