Legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen

As a group of primarily African-American pilots and airmen, the Tuskegee Airman made history over Europe during World War II. Using library resources, learn their history through the equipment they used to fly their missions, and how their service, alongside the service of other black and brown military members led to Executive Order 9981, which desegregated the armed forces.

Come search the shelves in our scavenger hunt with clues based upon influential Black authors. Participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a prize. In celebration of Black History Month.

After School Meals

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Operation Food Search will provide free meals to children Monday-Friday at select SLCL locations during the school year. Stop by after school and enjoy a nutritious meal along with activities for kids. Meals will be available free of charge for children ages 5-18.
