History & Genealogy 20th Anniversary

The History & Genealogy Department will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, September 29 with a day of activities and classes at Library Headquarters. An open house begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Headquarters Auditorium with tours of the department to follow. Classes of interest to family history seekers begin at 1:00 p.m. The open house is free and open to the public, but registration is required for each of the classes. Learn more.

Kindergarten Prep

Find out what you and your child need to know before starting kindergarten-attend a Kindergarten Prep workshop at SLCL! Kindergarten Prep focuses on the skills necessary for a successful first year in school, such as cooperation, socialization and listening. Families who participate in the workshop will receive a bag with school supplies and a free book. Learn more.

County Library Opens Renovated & Expanded Grand Glaize Branch

St. Louis County Library will open the renovated and expanded Grand Glaize Branch on Thursday, September 13 at 9:00 a.m. as part of the Your Library Renewed campaign. Construction on the Grand Glaize Branch began in the fall of 2017. The project is part of a multi-year, $120+ million campaign to renovate or replace 19 branches within the Library District.

The Grand Glaize Branch is located at 1010 Meramec Station Road in Manchester, MO.

Explore Virtual Reality

SLCL will host a series of virtual reality programs starting in September using Google Expeditions. Participants use virtual reality headsets to explore a variety of scenarios and landscapes including oceans, volcanoes, space and college campuses. The programs are taking place at multiple branches and are open to all age groups. Learn more.
