Using the Social Security Death Index (SSDI)

The Social Security Death Index covers deaths reported to the SSA between 1962–2014. Learn how to use the SSDI to uncover key genealogical details such as birth and death dates, and last place of residence.

Searching the Social Security Death Index (SSDI)

Enter in the name and the location of the person and select the Search button.
