Social workers are available at five branches to provide free one-on-one advising and assistance to connect patrons with vital resources and referrals to service providers in the community. Assistance on a wide range of topics is available, including, but not limited to:

  • Childcare
  • Housing insecurity
  • Food insecurity
  • Medical assistance
  • Domestic violence
  • Mental health
  • Parenting resources
  • Senior resources
  • Substance abuse
     

Social workers are at participating branches Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and limited hours on select Saturdays. You may request an appointment online or by calling 314-994-3300. Drop-ins are welcome as well, though availability may vary. Inquiries submitted through the form or left on voicemail will receive a response within two business days.
