Library Cards

Your St. Louis County Library card opens the door to a world of information and entertainment.

Use your card to check out a wide variety of materials from any library location and to access the Internet from library computers. With your library card number you can also access many of the library's subscription databases from your home, office or school computer.

How do I Get a Library Card?

Stop by any St Louis County Library location and present identification, such as a driver's license, showing your name and current address. Library cards are free to those who live in or pay property taxes to the SLCL district or the following library districts (SLCL has reciprocal lending agreements with these libraries)
 

  • Brentwood Public Library

  • Ferguson Public Library

  • Kirkwood Public Library

  • Maplewood Public Library

  • Richmond Heights Public Library

  • Rock Hill Public Library

  • St. Charles City-County Library

  • St. Louis (City) Public Library

  • University City Public Library

  • Valley Park Public Library

  • Webster Groves Public Library

A card is $50 per family, per year for anyone who lives outside St. Louis County, St. Louis City or St. Charles County. Some restrictions on database access may apply to non-resident cardholders. Additionally, Interlibrary Loan Service is not available to non-resident users.
