Design a Bookmark Contest
Calling all aspiring artists and designers ages 6-17!
We are seeking creative designs for this year’s bookmark contest.
Entries accepted starting Sunday, June 1, 2025 and must be received by 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025.
The winning bookmarks will be professionally printed and distributed at all library branches in the Fall.
How to Enter
- Download and print the template with entry form or pick up a template with entry from any branch.
- Design your bookmark and fill out the entry form.
- Submit your entry form with your bookmark at any branch. Electronic entries will not be accepted.
Official Rules & Guidelines
- Open to youth ages 6-17.
- Entrant or parent/guardian must have a SLCL card.
- Design a bookmark with the theme "Dream in Color."
- Do not write your name or place any other identifying marks on the bookmark itself.
- Limit one submission per person. More than one entry will disqualify all entries.
- Digitally created designs will not be accepted.
- Entries are judged for creativity, originality, neatness and printability.
- Entries that include copyrighted text and/or images will be disqualified.
- Entries accepted starting Sunday, June 1, 2025 and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

- Winners will be chosen in four categories: Ages 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, and 15-17.
- Winners’ bookmarks will be professionally printed and distributed at library branches in Fall, while supplies last.
- Winners will be notified by Friday, August 8, 2025.
- Judges’ decisions are final.
- The library will not be able to return the original bookmark.
- If any of these guidelines are not followed, the entry will be disqualified.
