Branch History

The Florissant Valley Branch opened in 1965, about a year after the Florissant Public Library joined the St. Louis County Library District. The branch underwent extensive renovations in 2016 as part of the Your Library Renewed campaign. The building has a Discovery Zone, an entire floor dedicated to children with fun, interactive learning features. The branch also includes a teen space, three private study rooms, a quiet reading room, a business center with fax, copy and scanning machines, a vending area and two revamped community meeting rooms. The branch is located next to Bangert Park, in the heart of Florissant.
