Branch History
The original Thornhill Branch opened in 1976. Its name refers to the homestead of Missouri's second governor, Frederick Bates, which was nearby. A new building was constructed as part of the Your Library Renewed campaign; it opened to the public in February 2019. The new branch is approximately 20,000 square feet in size and features a colorful interior, with abundant natural light and comfortable seating. The branch serves a diverse population of individuals and businesses from Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights and Olivette.
