National Library Week takes place April 19-25, 2026. This year’s theme is Find Your Joy–an invitation for people of all backgrounds to explore and discover what sparks joy in them at the library. SLCL will celebrate the week with a variety of fun activities–including new library cards, fun content on social media, and special programming. Visit your local branch to see what’s planned.

Gaming at the Library BGG Foundation

Join us for a fun and interactive gaming experience presented by the BGG Foundation. Three branches are hosting these fun programs, which feature a range of activities from the newest consoles to virtual reality. Whether you’re a casual gamer, an avid gamer or new to the gaming world, this program is tailored to create an inclusive and enjoyable environment for all. Ages 11-18. Registration required.

Operation Food Search MetroMarket

MetroMarket from Operation Food Search will visit two SLCL branches year round with fresh, affordable produce, along with recipe ideas and meal planning assistance. The unit will be at the Natural Bridge Branch on Tuesdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m., and at the Lewis & Clark Branch on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
