Explore! is back this fall. This series is a great way for kids to discover new interests through engaging programs. The fall line-up includes Baby Sign Language, Drawing Digitally, Mexican Folk Dancing, Clay Creation and more.

The Hip Hop Block Party originally scheduled for Friday, August 30 in Bangert Park next to the Florissant Valley Branch has been canceled due to the weather forecast.

Operation Food Search will provide after school meals Monday-Friday at four branches during the 2024-25 school year beginning on August 19. Stop by after school and enjoy a nutritious meal along with activities for kids. Meals must be eaten on-site and will be available free of charge for children ages 5-18.

Creative Wisdom is a free 8-week course that teaches memoir writing or watercolor to adults ages 55 and older. Classes will be held at the Oak Bend and Thornhill branches. Participants will receive all required art supplies and an opportunity to showcase completed artwork at the branch. Participants will be chosen by lottery and must attend every session in order to be eligible. Applications will be accepted August 11-18, 2024.

Help Smokey celebrate his 80th birthday by learning how to prevent wildfires. Sign up for the Smokey Bear Reading Challenge taking place July 1-August 31. Complete one activity to earn a badge. Earn three badges to be automatically entered into an electronic raffle for a chance to win a Fort Building Kit.
