St. Louis County Library Foundation and the JCC of St. Louis are pleased to host an SLCL Authors @ the J event with acclaimed non-fiction author and journalist Paul Hendrickson for a discussion and signing of “Fighting the Night: Iwo Jima, World War II, and a Flyer’s Life.” The event is presented by St. Louis County Library’s Westfall Politics and History Series. St. Louis County Library (SLCL) and St. Louis Public Library (SLPL) are teaming up to offer a joint summer reading and exploration program called STL Summer Adventure. This brand new program invites youth ages 0-17 to go on an adventure with a variety of activities in STEM, Art, Outdoors, St. Louis and Reading. The program will run from June 1-August 10, 2024. Additional information is available at www.stlsummeradventure.org. To celebrate the launch of STL Summer Adventure, the library systems will unveil new library cards sponsored by City SC.

St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Favorite Author Series and The Novel Neighbor are pleased to host a special event with bestselling “Crazy Rich Asians” novelist Kevin Kwan for a discussion and signing of his new novel “Lies and Weddings.” The event will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 7:00 p.m. at the Ethical Society of St. Louis, 9001 Clayton Rd. St. Louis MO 63117. Kevin Kwan will be in conversation with Soman Chainani, author of the hit “School for Good and Evil” series. The event will be presented in partnership with the Very Asian Foundation.
