The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from The Novel Neighbor.

St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Reading Garden Series for Young Audiences and the Novel Neighbor are pleased to present bestselling middle-grade author Gordon Korman. Korman will discuss his latest middle grade adventure “Slugfest.” The event will take place on Thursday, January 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Grant’s View Branch, 9700 Musick Road, St. Louis MO 63123. The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from the Novel Neighbor.

St. Louis County Library and the St. Louis County Library Foundation are pleased to announce that Post Holdings, Inc. has entered into an agreement for naming rights to the event and outdoor spaces in the new Clark Family Branch, located at 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The branch, which is currently under construction, will feature an 800-seat event space and outdoor area to be named Post Plaza and Event Space. The Clark Family Branch will replace the former Headquarters building and is expected to open in spring 2024.

The St. Louis County Library Board of Trustees voted at their November 20, 2023 meeting to adjust SLCL branch hours in 2024. Starting January 2, 2024 all SLCL branches will close at 8:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Previously, all branches were open until 9:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. All other Library hours remain the same.

The St. Louis County Library Foundation has received a $450,000 donation from the James S. McDonnell Family Foundation to sponsor a new St. Louis County Library (SLCL) bookmobile. This generous donation marks the fourth gift this year from local organizations and businesses to upgrade SLCL’s aging bookmobile fleet. SLCL has made school bookmobile replacement a major priority in 2023 to ensure the Library District can continue providing equitable services to students in St. Louis County. Great Southern Bank, the St. Louis Cardinals and Emerson have all made donations to sponsor new bookmobiles. The new units will hit the road in the second half of 2024.
